How To Overcome Stress

When we are stressed, our heart beats faster, our blood circulates the body at higher rate, and a thousand nerve cells would be working our brain up in order to overcome the factors of its occurrence. Stress is actually caused by pressure. It could be of anything such as pressure at work, at school, and even personal conflicts. The accumulated pressure soon turns into prolonged pressure. Hence, the stress. Many believed that giving up is the only way when they are facing stress. However, they must remember and be aware that every problem had its solutions. As the saying goes "When there's a will, there's a way".

Some people are as timid as a chicken. They preferred to corner themselves in the society and refused to seek or confront anyone to share their feelings. Sharing is one of the most effective ways of saying goodbye to stress. It doesn't need critical thinking, nor does it need a number of listeners. Actually, this is the reason why there is professionals available to help us. People such as counselors or therapists should be taken in consideration if we have been stuck in stress in quite some time. When we share our inner feelings, we automatically  share our burden with others. Thus, this could enlighten our struggles and give us a sense of relief.

On the other hand, we need to forgive ourselves. Learning to forgive is a huge step and it cannot be done if we do not forgive ourselves first. It is crucial to let bygones be bygones because we should seize our tomorrow and learn our yesterday. Keeping grudges within us poisons our soul. It shuts the mind from receiving and even initiating love from others. This could be overcome by searching our heart and asking God for forgiveness. When we don't have the will, we should find the will.

Furthermore, a gloomy day would be turned upside down if we would just do something that we enjoy everyday. I believe each and every one of us have their own hobbies. When you feel that little pressure creeping in, simply turn up the music volume, have some cookies and treat yourselves with manicures or video games. This need not take long though, because we don't want it to become habit and as an excuse to our duties. Sometimes, it is as simple as relaxing yourselves. To those who could afford a spa or a body massage, that would be a great thing to do too!

Last but not least, comes the word that almost everyone despise, that is exercise. As hard as challenging it may sounds, we still need to squeeze in some time to keep our body healthy. People often say that they have no time, in the end, those people will realize that they were actually wasting a lot of their time. Stress will go away and eventually fade away when we move our bodies more often. It relaxes our mind and rests our body. Examples of common exercises are, walking, jogging, swimming and cycling. Other options are horse-riding, hiking, picnics and even going to the gym! Exercise regularly to be as fit as a fiddle!

All in all, overcoming stress is not impossible at all! All we need is knowledge, determination, and action upon it. No one likes stress, and neither do I. I hope everyone got something new from this article. Let's start implementing it in our daily lives for a healthier you and I.
